Monday, March 14, 2011 – DATELINE PHILADELPHIA – watching television, Channel 29 – FOX – from “Good Day” to “Wendy…” Holy shit – what crap on broadcast. News – Japan – nuclear alerts; after-effects of tsunami/earthquake… Current condition of Haiti? Israel? Egypt? Iran? Iraq? Greece? Turkey? Bosnia? Russia? China? Canada? Colombia? Chile? Peru? Nicaragua? Africa? New Zealand? Australia? The UK? Ireland? Scotland? The “tips” – Arctic and Antarctic? Anywhere else?
Public education in urban USA– the quality and elements? Funding? National debt – what does that really mean?
Fine art in today’s socio-economic culture – does it exist? How far-reaching, if it does exist? Art education?
Mattresses – how significant is the current market for consumer mattresses and for the hospitality industry? Foam versus cylinders, springs and fabric assemblies, air channels, water tubes or cotton futons?
Quality and distribution of Scott toilet paper, 1,000-sheet single-ply rolls?
The daily blog… Random thoughts typed for you.
What really happens when we die and thereafter? I have my mom’s ashes contained in a burgundy plastic rectangular box, adorned with her photo and a collection of small objects with esoteric meaning.
Today I am 60 years of age and I reside in the SW suburbs of Philadelphia; my brother, Bruce, just called to tell me that he and Chris were driving to Titusville because his father-in-law had died. That happens more often as we age. Our parents never really discussed this part of growing older. I can smile today. At 60 I am more familiar with death; the humor = not easier to bear; simply more familiar. Hence, I can smile at death and know I am still standing here; sitting here, in fact, typing these words as if in conversation with you.
Good morning; it’s 10:47 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011. My name is Jeffrey Wayne Pergament and this is my blog.
Time for breakfast; had my coffee; took my “morning meds;” my world is stable.
